Joe C. Thomas, PE, CBI

President, Structural Engineer

Joe was commissioned into the U.S. Army in 2004, where he served for 5 years as a Combat Engineer Officer. After a 15 months deployment to Iraq, and various positions at home station, he decided to leave active duty and pursue his civilian career as a structural engineer.
Joe has extensive experience in Bridge Inspection and Load Ratings throughout the United States, working in nearly all 50 states (still needs to get Hawaii and North Dakota!). However, the majority of his experience has been in Florida. 
For the last several years, Joe has been more focused on structural design work to include mast arm assemblies, retaining walls, and various construction engineering items. Additionally, Joe has gained a great deal of experience conducting residential forensic inspections throughout central Florida.
Joe is also still active in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. He recently returned from a deployment to Kenya in which his responsibilities included expanding a base’s infrastructure to accommodate triple the personnel and equipment it was originally designed to support.
